Naace Think Tank - we want to hear your voice
We would like to invite you to one of our Regional Naace Think Tanks which are taking place in the last two weeks in July. The purpose of these events is to open up discussion and collectively share our thoughts about the future direction of ICT in Education.

Naace Think Tank: A perspective on "The National Context" London 28th July 2010

Naace Think Tank: A perspective on

This was the third of a series of three events in which Naace members met to consider the role of ICT in education following the formation of the Conservative / Liberal Democrat Coalition in May 2010. The slides shown to promote discussion can be found at: http://www.slideshare.net/naaceconferences/naace-think-tank-london

Our aim is to work together and plan concise key messages – decide who needs to hear them and what action we want them to take.  Our aim is to build a strategy (and practical products) for defending the place of ICT in Education – and to ensure this is shared with as many people as possible.

Here’s what we will be doing at the Regional Think Tank.

We will be engaging in debate and these are some of the questions we will be asking:
•    ICT IS Important - Do we agree? Why and how is it important?
•    What do we need to do?
•    What are our Key Messages? (The USP of ICT in a learning environment)
•    Who are the audience? And who needs to hear what?
•    What do we want those who hear our message to do? How do we provoke this reaction?
•    Building a Strategy (and Practical Products) for defending the place of ICT in Education - What should it include?
•    Naace is about community - how can we build the effectiveness of that community so that our VOICE is heard and effective?

All attendees are asked to come prepared to share a one or two minute (max) nano presentation using any one of the above questions as a theme for that presentation. Not all may get a chance to share but - we'll all be ready for anything Mark throws at us :) There will also be an opportunity to be filmed at the event too – any volunteers to do the filming? Please email Bernadette at bernadette.brooks@naace.co.uk.

We will be live streaming the Bradford event, thanks to Planet PC, to enable many more of you to be involved. We will communicate further on this as soon as we have details available.
