Building Even More Confidence into NAACE Frameworks Through ISO 9001

NAACE 07/02/2023

NAACE has been providing schools with education technology support for decades, underpinned by processes such as the EdTech Review Framework and the NAACEMark. Both programmes help schools elevate their approach to edtech through guided processes and recognition for successful implementation.

NAACE prides itself on continually developing its offering and championing robust processes for quality assurance which give the EdTech Review Framework and NAACEMark the gravitas they have in the education sector today. In this spirit, NAACEhas undertaken formal assessment for its processes around the EdTech Review Framework and NAACEMark. NAACE is delighted to have been awarded the ISO 9001:2015 standard, which specifies requirements for quality management systems. ISO 9001 is the world’s most recognised quality management system standard.

ISO 9001:2015 is awarded where an organisation:

  1. demonstrates the ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and applicable statutory/regulatory requirements.
  2. aims to enhance customer satisfaction through successful application of a system, including processes for improvement and assurance of conforming to customer and applicable statutory/regulatory requirements.

What does this mean for schools?

Formal accreditations are a great way for schools to identify the quality of frameworks and awards before investing in them. The ISO 9001 standard means schools can have even more confidence in NAACE’s processes and quality assurance. The EdTech Review Framework and NAACEMark are the only school awards of their type to have their processes internationally quality assured with ISO 9001.

What does it mean for  NAACE?

For NAACE, the ISO 9001 standard gives the organisation certainty that its processes are robust and of a high calibre. It also demonstrates that the organisation is committed to continuing to provide high-quality services and is focused on ongoing improvement.

Philip Blackburn, Board Member and Former Chair of NAACE, said: “Quality assurance is extremely important, not only for schools who want confidence in the frameworks they are working on, but for organisations like NAACE who want to be continually improving and holding themselves to very high standards. The ISO 9001 standard is testament to the quality assurance we build into our processes. NAACE is committed to maintaining the ISO 9001 standard for quality management systems for the processes around the EdTech Review Framework and NAACEMark.”
