Naace Invitation to Tender: Visual Learning CPD Project for primary phase professional educators

Author: Gareth Davies
Naace has been successful in a tender from the Teacher Development Agency (TDA) for pilot funding for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activity to support the development of ICT subject leaders in primary schools, and now invites bids to carry out the work contracted from Members and other interested parties being commercial companies, individuals or consortia for all or individual lots.
The essence of the project is to deliver a high quality blended learning course on Visual Literacy to professional educators from the Naace membership (advisers, consultants, Advanced Skills Teachers, Hands-on Support Teachers etc.) who will then be appointed to help roll-out further CPD Visual Learning workshops to Primary ICT subject leaders linked to TDA recognised PPD partnership funding with Naace and HEI partners. Optional accreditation will be available for those that take part. Funds enable a minimum of ten participants, but, should bidders wish to encourage participants beyond this number by accessing funding from other sources, a maximum of 20 participants could be planned for eg a Local Authority may wish to widen the opportunity by providing additional funds.
