Atomwide

Founded in 1987, and operating from offices acquired in 2004 which embody and showcase the very technologies and services that we provide to our customers, Atomwide is as proud of its history and achievements to date, as it is of its forward-looking LEA and corporate Managed Services, and its school-focused educational ICT portfolio.
 
In 1999, Atomwide created the core delivery platform and Managed Service systems for ‘KingsNet’. Linking schools in the London Borough of Kingston, this was one of the UK’s first LEA-wide networks.  Six years on, Atomwide still supports it.
 
Atomwide now supplies Managed Services to a diverse group of LEAs that are concentrated within three of the UK’s Regional Broadband Consortia:
• London Grid for Learning
• South East Grid for Learning
• West Midlands Grid for Learning
 
Atomwide specialises in the design and implementation of complex multi-platform networks, employing both off-the-shelf and custom-designed security and software solutions. In this area, Atomwide has concentrated on delivering advanced, flexible, readily-accessible, but ‘child safe’, broadband Managed Services for UK Education Authorities and their schools.
 
Atomwide underlines its support and commitment to UK Education by continuing in its sponsorship of Naace, of which it is proud to have been a sponsor since 1997.
