Members are invited to comment on the strategic objectives proposed for this influential body.

e-skills UK is a critically influential body and has started a consultation on its strategic plan for England. They are particularly interested in views on their five strategic objectives which include: "Inspire greater numbers of talented men and women to enter the sector by improving understanding of the diverse range of IT and Telecoms careers" and "Ensure technology-related education in schools, colleges and universities supports the future needs of the UK in the global economy".

For each objective, a number of challenges and possible approaches are outlined, and Naace members' experience will be invaluable in commenting on these issues. The draft strategic document and the questionnaire can be found at http://www.e-skills.com/About-us/2194

Please contribute to Naace's response by following the links to Naace Knowledge in the Special Tools section of the Naace wesbite, where you will be able to add your contribution directly into the wiki. We need your contributions by Friday 20th June 2008.

You may also, of course wish to respond individually to the consultation. Draft strategic plans for Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland will be available shortly.
