A lot of schools are looking for answers and to that end I recently ran an online teachmeet comprising eight primary and secondary schools and a university. It was a great opportunity for teachers to ask questions of other teachers.

Naace BOM blog: Essential questions schools should ask their ICT service partners

A blogpost by Nick Madhavji, Managing Director of Joskos Solutions and member of the Naace Board of Management Why outsource your ICT support? Working with an outsourced ICT service provider is a considered investment that can free up resources within schools, enabling in-house teams to switch from reactive trouble-shooting to proactive ICT strategy and planning. Ultimately leading to a positive impact on teaching and learning. A good/outstanding outsourced support partner will provide a scalable range of services that are tailored to a school’s specific needs, and will adapt over time. Additionally, schools will have access to a wide pool of staff with specialist knowledge, industry certifications and the ability to trouble-shoot with vendors at the highest level via their chosen IT partner.

Nicky Morgan: Bett Show speech 2016

I spoke 2 days ago at the Education World Forum and in opening this session of BETT I officially close the forum until 2017. I hope ministers from around the world found it as constructive as I - and my ministers - did and I’m sure we are all looking forward to sharing our ideas again next year. It is such a treat to be here at BETT again. This showcase of education technology continues to go from strength to strength. There is no doubt that British exports of ICT products are stronger than ever with a more than 5% increase last year alone. It’s brilliant to have the best minds from Britain and around the world here and I’m really keen to see some of the stalls when I get the chance to have a walk round.
