Naace Annual Strategic Conference 2010 - 16th - 18th March 2010The booking link can be found at the right of this page. A small school in a rural part of Shropshire, Clunbury has made inspired use of ICT to enhance learning and connect its pupils with the wider world. The school's 65 children have made podcasts and blogs as part of their lessons, while their art is showcased on the school website. Children have a key role in choosing when and how technology is used during the school day, increasing participation and interest in learning. This world class event is firing up with the theme of Empowering Learning, which takes a leaf out of Sir Jim Rose’s final report, describing a small school with a big vision where “Technology empowers learning but does not overpower it.” Our fantastic programme includes speakers like, Diana Johnson MP, Lord David Puttnam, Martha Lane Fox (Digital Inclusion Champion), Karen Price (CEO of e-skills UK), Keri Facer (Professor of Education at Manchester Metropolitan University's Education and Social Research Centre), Tony Richardson (Executive Director, Strategy and Communications at Becta) , Terry Piggott ( Interim Executive Director, Local Government ) and David Anstead (Ofsted's National Adviser for ICT).
