Enhancing Parental Engagement using ICT: 4 May 2011 - London

image
Over the last decade ICT has played an increasingly important role in how, what and when schools communicate with parents. The availability of technology at home to access information and learning content, support social networking, make online payments and provide email and text messaging services is making a big impact on the partnership between schools and parents. Parents (and you may be one) are increasingly expecting more timely and meaningful communication from schools to help them engage with, and support, their children’s learning.

Are you interested in issues such as:

•Improving the use of learning platforms, websites, email and text messaging for efficiently communicating with parents?
•Helping parents to understand and support children’s homework?
•Consulting with parents about becoming an academy?
•Trying to reach the harder to engage parents?
•Getting parental support and contributions for 1:1 eLearning access?

It is a simple and obvious fact that parental engagement with their child’s learning plays the single largest role in the educational outcomes for children.

The Compelling Case for ICT; helping schools assess and evidence the impact of ICT - 30 June 2011 - Birmingham

The compelling case for ICT.
In these challenging times we recognise that schools cannot afford to invest in anything that does not impact on their fundamental performance indicators - pupil achievement, learning, pupil numbers and school effectiveness and efficiency.

Naace is keen to empower school leaders to see clearly the impact of ICT on their KPIs and to assess how great the return on investment is from both their ICT and CPD investments.

This course had particular relevance for strategically focussed LA managers, e-learning managers, advisers, consultants, Directors of ICT in Academies, Free Schools and Federations of Schools. It was also appropriate for ICT Co-ordinators, Heads of Departments, leaders of senior management teams and others responsible for the implementation of strategic initiatives in all schools.

All delegates received a participatory certificate and will have the opportunity to enrol on the Naace ICT CPD Award upon completion of this course, to work towards further accreditation. For further details see www.naace.co.uk/cpdaward.
