Naace Consultations

Naace Technology in Education Advice Network

Members of Naace are actively involved in developing policy, exploring the potential of new technologies, reviewing the impact of initiatives and improving learning and teaching through the appropriate use of ICT. Consultations and 'Think tanks' lead to informed policy position papers and other published outcomes.

Naace is delighted to announce the creation of the Technology in Education Advice Network, set up to respond to the growing need for independent consultants to meet with service and product providers to establish mutually beneficial relationships, to foster first rate delivery of ICT to schools.

NEW Programme Launched

Naace Connect #5 - Spring 2011

Advancing Education #Autumn 2011

'Naace Connect' is an exciting online video magazine for Naace members.

With many schools supporting improvement through the use of ICT, this fourth programme in the series looks at Dudley Local Authority. Starting with insight from John Davies, their Learning Futures Adviser, episodes include contributions from Primary, Secondary and Special Schools in the Borough. Finally, we look at how ICT is used to support a Dramatic enquiry within a Creative Partnership project in Stoke-on-Trent.

In this edition of Advancing Education Fiona Aubrey-Smith considers the evolution of Technology for Learning, taking us into the realms of Web 3.0. Amrit Pal Kaur of the University of Adelaide presents an exploratory study of trainee science teachers attitudes to use of certain ICT tools while Pete Bradshaw and Sarah Younie explore trainee teachers engagement in a cross-curricular news project. There are important lessons in both papers.
