Apply for membership

Applications for membership of Naace are welcome from all those who are working to advance education through information and communications technology (ICT).

Please allow four working days for your application to be processed. You will be sent out a welcome pack confirming your personal login details and member benefits.

User name may only contain numbers and the letters a to z (upper and lower case)

Trainee teachers

Trainee teachers applying for student membership are asked to provide the name of the institution at which they are studying, their student identification number and expected date of their qualification. (month/year)

Newly qualified teachers

Newly qualified teachers applying for NQT discounted membership are asked to provide the name of the School they are working in and the date of their appointment to the post (month/year).

Experience and Interests

Prospective members are invited to provide some background information about their experience and interests. This is purely voluntary, but would be useful in identifying areas of expertise and interests among the membership.

Student£10Anyone who commits to the aims and code of practice of the association and is in full time education, or is undertaking training as a student teacher by whatever route.

Senior£30Individuals who commit to the aims and code of practice of the association and were formally active within educational ICT but are now officially retired (NB. does not include those engaged in consultancy in a semi-retired capacity).

Affiliate Member£60Anyone who commits to the aims and code of practice of the association. (Suitable for individuals who were formally active within educational ICT and wish to remain informed.)

  • NO discounts to events
Member£100Anyone who commits to the aims and code of practice of the association.
  • voting rights;

Fellow
(NB. this category will be introduced post Sept 1st 2008)
£125Any Member that has provided evidence of having made a sustained and leading contribution to the Naace community, and commits to continue to do so while a Fellow.
Evidence might include:
  • articles written in Naace publications;
  • an active blog within Naace Communities;
  • contribution and collaboration in Naace reporting or talklists;
  • establishing a 'community of practice' on Naace Communities;
  • voluntary service on a Naace committee or the Board
  • voting rights;
  • online services (write access), news service and journal / publications;
  • listed as a "Fellow" page on main website.
  • Access to invitation only "Fellows Events";
  • Fellow level discount on events
Group membership3 members = £270
5 members = £425
+ 5 members = £425 + affiliate member fee per additional person)
Employees of a cohesive group ie: School, company, LA, Government body, where that organisation might pay subscriptions on their behalf at the same point in the year.Rights of Member. Individuals wishing to 'upgrade' to Fellow status will no longer be part of the Group, but will be liable to pay the full Fellow status fee, without refund, as soon as they have been accepted.

Life MembershipFreeAnyone who commits to the aims and code of practice of the association, and through exceptional service to the ICT Community has been granted this honour by the Board of ManagementAll rights of being a "Fellow" and listed on the website as a Life member.
