The National Education Technology Conference is cancelled
It is with great regret I announce that a decision has been taken by the Naace Board of Management to cancel the National Education Technology Conference organised by Naace. This is entirely due to the event not recruiting as it had been hoped and the subsequent loss being more than the association might cover. It is not due to any lack of support from exhibitors or sponsors who remain keen to connect with the wider Naace membership it is simply that this event was not on course to provide them with that opportunity.
We believe that the practical programme offered huge potential benefits to attendees and we take this opportunity to thank those who had so generously put themselves forward to speak and run work-shops and have been preparing those sessions for weeks. However, despite our very best efforts to market the event and to reach out to new audiences, a lack of demand from attendees leaves us with no choice but to rethink our approach.
Delegates, speakers, sponsors and exhibitors have been contacted with details of how to claim any refund they may be entitled to.
I am sure you share our disappointment however, we remain committed to a vision that Education Technology can make a significant difference to outcomes for young people and a broad and balanced Computing curriculum is essential for the well-being of our economy. We hope that in the future more will share this vision and choose to express it in attendance at future Naace events.
With much regret
