Howell’s School, Llandaff, a member of the Girls’ Day School Trust, is the oldest girls’ school in South Wales, educating girls from the age of 3 to 18, but since 2005 it has admitted boys into its Sixth Form College. It is renowned for high academic standards, superb facilities, effective systems of pastoral care and a wide range of extracurricular activities. Charity work features prominently and there are numerous sporting, musical and other performing opportunities. The school promotes the development of self-confidence and independence of thought.
