Notes on video (notes include references to the Commentary video, available to Naace members on the Commentary tab)
These are really comprehensive videos and clearly demonstrate the extensive range of resources and the flexibility with which you approach strategic development. I particularly like the way you describe the change in the learning culture and the way in which you have both listened and responded to student needs. The idea of ‘learning together’ is very powerful and a great motivator and enabler for students. BYOD is hitting all schools and the provision you have made for students to use whatever device they have at hand to ”enhance their work” within and beyond the classroom is highly commendable. It would be good to have heard from students and those who drive and carve out the future vision but I appreciate that in a large school this is often a task which is delegated to a strategy group – it is evident that you have a highly effective group covering all aspects of stratgic and opetational planning, intervention and delivery. Its also good to see that parents and the comnunity are given a voice both in the future direction of technology and its applcation within learning but also a voice to express their personal needs particualrly in relation to e-safety matters.
