Just curious. I’m doing some GDPR work and am exploring the definition of a “pupil record”. After teaching 35 years you’d think I’d know, but I never really want down the pastoral route. I had assumed that those filing cabinets that every secondary school has with the files passed on from primary, do get updated, but my observations of late suggest that this is far from true.
Does anyone know of any schools that use these cabinets to store assessments and communications etc? Is that a lost art or an unnecessary one? But then how difficult does that make it to put together a SARS response!
