I bring over 20 years of experience supporting schools in the delivery and strategic use of technology—spanning school, local authority, and central government roles. My career began in a secondary school ICT role, supporting the daily use of technology in teaching and learning.
A secondment to Dorset County Council’s Modernising Schools Programme introduced me to school construction and infrastructure projects, ensuring digital provision was embedded from initial design through to delivery. This led to my role under Steve Moss at Partnerships for Schools, contributing to the Building Schools for the Future (BSF) programme. There, I supported local authorities nationwide in designing and delivering technology-rich learning environments.
Since then, I have continued my work in central government and currently serve in the Department for Education’s Building Technology team. The team’s role focuses on integrating technology into school build and rebuild projects, leading IT-only investment programmes such as Connect the Classroom, and providing subject matter expertise across the education sector.
NAACE plays a vital role in supporting schools to make confident, purposeful use of technology. I hope to contribute to that work by offering grounded sector experience, a national systems perspective, and a shared commitment to advancing digital education for all.
